Coastal design is an aesthetic inspired by the beach and seaside lifestyle that maximizes natural light, utilizes open spaces, blends together indoor-outdoor living and relies on an ocean-inspired color palette like soft blues, sandy neutrals and whites.
Windows have the ability to define indoor-outdoor living. Large pocketing glass walls, covered loggias, open-air lounges and outdoor kitchens are no longer considered upgrades, but rather components of high-end luxury, seaside living. Entire floor plans are being organized around outdoor spaces, allowing living rooms, kitchens and primary suites to flow naturally toward pools, terraces and waterfront views.
