LP Building Solutions (LP), a leading manufacturer of high-performance building products, announced the expansion of its LP® SmartSide® Trim & Siding portfolio with the introduction of the new LP® SmartSide® Primed 8” Brushed Smooth Shake Lap Siding, designed to give building professionals greater flexibility in achieving refined, traditional exterior designs.
Demand for shake-style accents remains strong across many housing markets, particularly for gables and architectural focal points. The new profile addresses that trend with a smaller reveal that creates a more detailed appearance than larger-format shake products.
The LP® SmartSide® 8” Brushed Smooth Shake Lap Siding is available primed, features a customizable 5-inch to 6-inch reveal, and measures 8 inches wide by 4 feet long. Its reversible design allows installation with either a straight or staggered edge, giving builders and homeowners additional design flexibility.
The new offering complements existing LP SmartSide 12-inch shake products, which support larger 7-inch to 10-inch reveals. Together, the expanded portfolio allows builders and homeowners to select the profile that best matches their architectural vision.
